Tag Heuer has announced at Baselworld 2015 that it will introduce the Carrera – Heuer 01 in honour of the firm’s founder, Edouard Heuer.
The 45 mm diameter case, which is made from steel in a modular fashion, consists of 12 different components that create the piece. It will house a Tag Heuer calibre Heuer 01, that’s inspired by the manufacturer’s horological movement of 1887.
Made from light titanium, the design of the Tag Heuer Carrera – Heuer 01 features a skeleton dial, which showcases the inner workings of the mechanism. A skeleton date window is displayed at the 3 o’clock position, surrounded by a red frame.
Its black bezel that’s produced using anthracite features a tachymeter scale, while the timepiece boasts a minimum power reserve of 50 hours.
Each piece is supplied with a perforated rubber strap with deployant buckle and safety push-buttons and is water resistant up to a pressure of 10 bar or 100 meters / 330 feet.
Tag Heuer recently announced that it would release a Special Edition Carrera to celebrate Cara Delevingne’s role as an ambassador for the Swiss watch manufacturer.
